A man has been charged and given a citation for a crash involving a school bus in Wake Forest. On May 24 in the afternoon, Wake Forest police went to a crash involving a Wake County school bus and two other cars on Averette Road near Copper Beech Lane.
Police said Skylar Morgan Faulkner crashed into the back of a car, which caused that car to hit the back of the school bus. Pictures showed a white sedan stuck under the bus.
There were 21 Wake Forest Middle School students and the driver on the bus. None of the students were hurt, but the bus driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Faulkner, aged 41, was arrested and charged with DWI. He was also given a citation for careless and reckless driving, not slowing down to avoid an accident, and illegal use of a mobile phone for texting or emailing.
