PATTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTAJ) — A man has been arrested after a teenage girl accused him of sexually assaulting her.
The incident happened in June 2022 at Nadir Jamir Harris’s home in Patton Township. Harris, 22, from Jersey City, NJ, was with the teenage girl, her sister, and friends. They were all minors and were there to consume marijuana and alcohol provided by Harris’s roommate, according to the police report.
The girl told the police she drank eight shots of vodka and felt sick, so she went outside. Harris followed her and talked to her. When they went back inside, he took her to his bedroom instead of rejoining the others. Harris then allegedly assaulted her. The girl said she was very drunk, couldn’t speak, and did not agree to what happened.
Harris was 20 at the time, and the girl was 15.
Harris faces serious charges, including felony statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, and misdemeanor indecent assault. He is set to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on June 5 and is currently in Centre County Prison with a $250,000 bail.
