A man has been arrested for raping a 13-year-old girl in a Queens park. Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, a 25-year-old from Ecuador who entered the U.S. illegally, was recognized by community members from a photo and video released by the police. He was restrained and roughed up by the police after a struggle and taken to the hospital.

Inga-Landi admitted to having a drug problem but claimed he had never committed such a crime before. He had been previously arrested for entering the country illegally and had some minor incidents in New York City, including a domestic violence encounter.

He is facing multiple charges, including first-degree rape, se* abuse, robbery, menacing, kidnapping, and unlawful imprisonment.

The police commissioner praised the community for helping catch the suspect, noting that the arrest brings relief to the community and the victim’s family. He also praised the bravery of the young victims and the support of the community.

The assault occurred when the two 13-year-old were approached by a man with a large knife in Kissena Park. He forced them into a wooded area, stole their phones, tied them up with a shoelace, and se*ually assaulted the girl before fleeing.

The victims were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition. Investigators found the shoelace used to tie them up and a water bottle left behind by the suspect.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, approximately 5-foot-5, with curly hair, red sneakers, and a green backpack. He had dental braces and a tattoo on his chest.

The police had offered a reward for information leading to his arrest and released photos of a person of interest before the arrest.
