A man died in a crash between a motorcycle and a car on Monday night in the Town of Colden. The Erie County Sheriff’s Office shared this sad news.
Deputies got a call about the crash at 8 p.m. They rushed to 7491 Center St. and found a motorcycle lying on the road. The rider, Steven Morrissey, who was 41 and lived in Colden, had been thrown from the bike. He was taken to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital but was pronounced dead later.
The person driving the car stayed at the scene. Thankfully, neither they nor their passengers were hurt.
The authorities are still investigating what happened.
