A man driving a Maserati who responded to being cut off by shooting at a woman’s car and then firing at bystanders in Washington, D.C., was sentenced to over 32 years in prison on Monday, prosecutors said.
The woman was hit in the arm during the road-rage incident by Kenneth Miles Davis Jr. on May 19, 2021, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Her 5-year-old and 11-year-old children were also in the car.
A jury found Davis, 45, guilty in January of assault with intent to kill while armed, assault with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.
His lawyer, Marnitta L. King, said Davis plans to appeal. “Mr. Davis will continue to fight to prove his innocence,” she said.
