A person was hit by a vehicle in downtown Billings on Thursday morning.
The area around Sixth Avenue North at North 26th Street was closed to westbound traffic while the police looked into what happened. The road was reopened shortly after 6 a.m.
According to a social media post by the police, the incident occurred around 2 a.m. when a vehicle turning from North 26th Street onto Sixth Avenue North hit a pedestrian who was lying on the road. The pedestrian, a man, was dragged for about a block and sustained serious injuries, the police said.
The police’s crash team was investigating the incident, but no other details were provided.
