Alexia Glass, 25, is facing serious charges after a crash that took the life of 22-year-old Yolanda Pacheco. The crash happened on Thursday, March 28, in Hamilton Township.
Police were called to the scene on Black Horse Pike near the Penny Pot community around 12:26 a.m. Glass was driving a Toyota Corolla and Pacheco was in a Ford SUV traveling west near milepost 37.2.
The Toyota hit the back of the Ford, causing it to veer off the road, flip over, and hit three parked cars. Investigators say Glass was driving drunk and speeding at the time of the crash.
Pacheco sadly passed away from her injuries, while her 27-year-old female passenger from Egg Harbor City was hurt but survived. Glass also suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital.
A GoFundMe page was set up to help with Pacheco’s funeral expenses. She was a psychology student at Stockton University and was about to graduate in May.
Pacheco was remembered as a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known for her love of candles, painting, pottery, animals, tubing, and spending time with friends.
Her GoFundMe has received a lot of support, raising over $23,000 from many donors who were touched by her story.
