A 12-year-old boy is being accused of causing the death of a 14-year-old boy in Brooklyn. The incident happened on Sunday in an apartment building called Howard Houses.

Reports say that the 14-year-old, named Jasai Guy, was playing with a gun along with his cousin in a fifth-floor apartment. During their play, the gun went off and Jasai was shot in the chest. He was quickly taken to Brookdale University Hospital but sadly did not survive.

Neighbors described Jasai as a good kid who often played basketball with his friends nearby. They expressed sadness that children can’t even play safely outside or inside anymore.

This incident occurred very close to where a 30-year-old man was also shot and killed just two weeks prior. People in the neighborhood are concerned about the presence of illegal guns and the need to address this issue to prevent further tragedies.
