The father of a 1-year-old boy, who passed away while playing at a park in Palmdale, has been arrested, authorities announced on Thursday.
The LA County Sheriff’s Department explained that as detectives began investigating the possible reasons for the toddler’s death, they arrested the father for being an “accessory to conceal a crime” and child endangerment.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when deputies received a report about a child in distress at Courson Park on 10th Street E. The boy was found in a car with his father. First responders tried to revive the child and rushed him to Antelope Valley Hospital, where he was declared dead.
