SEATTLE — On Friday, a King County judge decided there was enough evidence to hold a man accused of causing a deadly crash in downtown Seattle on Thursday.
The crash involved a taxicab and a truck, killing one person and injuring several others.
The people in the taxi were taken to Harborview Medical Center. A woman in her 70s later died, according to Seattle police.
The truck driver, who had minor injuries, was arrested for investigation of vehicular homicide.
The crash happened around noon on Thursday at the intersection of Fourth Avenue South and South Washington Street.
When firefighters arrived, they rescued the passengers from the taxi and gave medical help. There were five people in the taxi: three women in their 70s, a male driver, and a male passenger, according to Seattle police.
