46-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Collision West of Modesto

A 46-year-old man from Modesto died late Saturday night after crashing his motorcycle into a power pole west of Modesto, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred around 11:50 p.m. on Woodland Avenue, east of Clark Road.

The initial investigation revealed that the rider, on a 2016 Harley-Davidson, was heading east on Woodland Avenue when he swerved left into the westbound lane. He then went off the road and hit a power pole owned by the Modesto Irrigation District.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released as authorities are notifying his family.
