Gary Martin Access Sacramento Executive Director Retiring

This Wednesday on Live Wire, Ray Tatar talks with Gary Martin Access Sacramento’s Executive Director who will be retiring April 2nd.  Gary Martin took the helm of the nonprofit organization Access Sacramento on July 1, 2013.

Gary Martin came to Access Sacramento from Cosumnes River College, where he was the department chair and a professor of radio, TV and film. He had been with the program since 1993.  Before his career as a teacher, Martin worked as a newscast producer at Sacramento’s KXTV Channel 10, as a weekend managing editor at KTSP in Phoenix, and as a senior newscast producer at KTVN in Reno and is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Broadcast Education Association.  Prior to Martin becoming Executive Director of Access he was vice chairman of Access Sacramento’s board.  Make sure to watch this look back and congrats on the retirement.
