Decarcerate Sacramento General Meeting

On Thursday January 30th Decarcerate Sacramento and The Sacramento Tenants union held a general meeting to talk about the current issues with the justice and prison systems in Sacramento.

My name is Luis Rua and I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. I also spent about three years living just outside of Denver, CO during elementary school. I primarily have a background in filmmaking. I started studying and practicing filmmaking in a more professional manner around the age of 14 however, I have been making fun little videos with my friends since I was a little kid. I grew up skateboarding and often would make skate videos with my friends. One day, while editing, I realized I actually enjoyed editing more than I enjoyed skateboarding. Soon enough I made the decision to broaden my horizons and learn everything I can about filmmaking. One day I hope to work at the same level as the Wes Anderson’s and Bong Jonn Ho’s of the world but for now I am Luis Rua from Sacramento.
