This year’s 10 winning films in the “A Place Called Sacramento” Film Festival make their cablecast premiere this Sun. Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. on Access Sacramento.

All 10 short films will be broadcast including comments after the films from the winning writers on stage during the world premiere red carpet event at the Crest Theatre Oct. 6.

Among the 10, viewers will see writer William Mendoza’s film “Justin Time,” chosen for both the Audience Favorite and the Producers’ Choice Awards.

Other films are: Aldo Cocco’s “Delta Breeze,” Thalia Caraveo’s “The Disappeared,” Romeo Trocino’s “The Engagement Ring,” Judith Plank’s “Escargot,” Ritu Atwal’s “The Gift,” Eric Sanderson’s “The Story of Jane and Jo.” Nathan Reedy’s “Swipe Right,” Amy Lawrence’s “Triple Shot Latte,” and Danya Barrow’s “Tono Sommesso.”

Access Sacramento Executive Director and Film Festival Director Gary Martin emcee’s the event at the Crest Theatre.  The world premiere was presented to a sold out audience of 920 attendees.

Following the films, all 10 winning writers are presented with their writing awards, and then specialty awards in acting, directing, cinematography and editing.

Later in the month, the 10 individual films will become available for viewing from AccessLocal.Tv and on Access Sacramento’s YouTube channel.
