In a showcase of stellar individual performances and a come from behind turnaround ending, the Antelope Titans defeated the Grant Pacers 29-28 in a a CIF Sac-Joaquin Section D-II quarterfinal on Access Sacramento‘s Game of the Week.

Antelope RB Elijah Dotson carried the ball 35 times for 283 yards and three touchdowns to earn Game of the Week honors as Player of the Game for the Titans.

Dotson’s final score was on a 42-yard dash down the right sideline with 1:41 left, but leaving the Titans down 28-27.

The stunning final points though when the Titans converted the 2-point PAT with a daring end around by Garrett Chapman as Grant’s defense keyed on Dotson.

Grant’s Tyree Marcelle was Game of the Week’s choice as Pacer Player of the game with 23 carries for 112 yard and an 18 yard TD run in the 2nd quarter.

Most of Marcelle’s yardage came in the first half though, and the Pacers’s only 2nd half points came by the defense when Viliami Niupalau recovered a fumble in the end zone following an errant long-snap on an attempted Antelope punt.

Antelope remains undefeated on the season, traveling to the D-II Semi-Final against Del Oro Fri. Nov. 25.
