Singers can audition Saturday March 8 in the morning for both a chance to sing on live TV in the afternoon and a potential berth in a later televised talent show that showcases the Sacramento region’s best performers.
The a Capella audition sign in begins at 8:30 a.m. on a first come first served basis at the Access Sacramento TV studio inside the Coloma Community Center, 4623 T Street, Sacramento.
Singers will perform 60-to-90 seconds of an unaccompanied non-karaoke song of their choice for the in-studio judges hoping to create the “Wow!” factor in both quality and stage presence.
Judges will name and call back semi-finalists at noon to perform in one additional audition LIVE at 1 p.m. on Access Sacramento, Comcast and SureWest Cable Channel 17 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99.
The television audience will be able to participate via Twitter by using the hashtag #SacTalent.
At least one singer from Saturday’s open audition will be offered a chance to perform in the 2nd annual “Sacramento Has Talent” show and a prize of $500.
Depending on the number of singers who sign up Saturday, all applicants may not be able to try out.
