The Sacramento Metropolitan Cable Television Commission meets for its regularly scheduled board meeting this Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

The board meets at a different location this month because the Board of Supervisors chambers are being remodeled. The Thursday meeting will be in the Sacramento Historic City Hall Council Chambers, 915 I Street, 2nd Floor, in Sacramento.

The Commission agenda includes possible reports from the three area cable services, Comcast, SureWest and AT&T U-Verse and from the Channel Licensees including Access Sacramento, Capital Public Radio, KVIE, the Religious Coalition for Cable Television and the Sacramento Educational Cable Consortium.

The commission’s legal counsel will also report in executive session on the SMCTC’s lawsuit in Los Angeles against Pacific Bell / AT&T California regarding how Public, Educational and Government Access Channels are broadcast by AT&T under the state’s cable franchise laws.  A report out from the executive session may not be required.

The public is invited to attend and comment on agenda items or other cable issues as desired.
