“Music Everywhere!”  

This week LiveWire welcomes back Councilman, Steve Cohn. He will be talking about Pops in the Park in East Sacramento and you’re invited to come to East Sacramento to watch several great local bands play. The summer series begins June 2nd at 6pm and runs Saturdays through the month of June. Bands include The Nibblers, The Chris Gardner Band, The Q-Balls, and Ivan Najera & Friends. Also joining us this week are guests from the VITA Academy (Vocal & Instrumental Teaching Artists). Musicians, Liz Barton and Deborah Pittman will be sharing all the details about their special event, “Voices of the New World” which features the music of Dvorak, Copland, Moncay, Chen Yi, Thacker Burleigh, and DeMars. Musicians at the event include Deborah Pittman playing the Cedar Flute, Charles Spuill IV performing the Violin, and The Women of the Slavic Chorale. Pete Nowlen and Ryan Murray will be the featured conductors. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 26th at 7pm at the CSUS Music Recital Hall.
