The California Latino Capitol Association Foundation (CLCAF) is proud to announce its seventh annual Summer Internship Program. This summer, a select group of Sacramento area high school students will have the opportunity to intern for a State Legislator in the Capitol or a Governmental Affairs office.
Eligibility criteria for the internship includes having junior or senior status at a high school in the Sacramento area, having a flexible summer schedule and being available 10-15 hours per week to intern for a Senator, Assembly member or a Governmental Affairs office.
Students must also have an interest in public policy, government, or community service and be in good academic standing, with a minimum a 2.0 GPA.
The goal of the CLCAF Summer Internship Program is to provide high school students from underserved communities a chance to gain a meaningful professional experience in public service and a greater sense of civic responsibility. The program also will provide mentorship and support to assist students in pursuing their higher education goals.
