“2012 Camellia International Folk Dance Festival & Helping Hands Fundraiser”

Join the dance! This week LiveWire features guests from The 56th Annual Camellia International Folk Dance Festival. The festival takes place over the March 9th weekend at Sacramento State University. There will be festivities including performances by local dance groups and music by The Village Folk Orchestra. You can take a variety of folk dance workshops including Serbian, Ukrainian, Balkan and Israeli styles. LiveWire is also featuring guests from the Weather Underground including Bill Ayers & Bernardine Dohrn. They will be talking about their special event to raise funds for St. Martin Helping Hands International. Their event will feature their stories about their life experiences as well as a book signing, live poetry and music by Fo’schange led with poetry by Vincent Kobelt.
