An Engagement and Envisioning Session is set to take place in the Tahoe Park neighborhood this Saturday, February 11th from 10 AM – 2 PM at the Tahoe Colonial Collaborative (5959 8th Ave Sacramento, CA). The event is free and lunch will be served. The Engagement and Envisioning session will be an opportunity for the Tahoe Park community to dig deeper into the issues they have already identified around transportation, safety, food access, and land use in the community.
The day will begin with an overview of the Healthy Land Use Engagement Project, which is the project leading this effort in Tahoe Park. The morning will conclude with a walk audit, led by WALKSacramento. The walk audit will be an opportunity for residents and other stakeholders to get out and physically point out the challenge areas and opportunities for improvement in the neighborhood. The afternoon will bring everyone back together for an opportunity to identify priority issues that will lay the foundation for a community action plan.
The participation of Tahoe Park residents is critical for the success of the session so please join us! To participate, please RSVP with your name and contact information to Rangineh@ubuntugreen.org or call 916-893-8226 by Friday, February 10th.
