Saturday night October 8 at the WAVE Awards ceremony in San Jose, three local programs were named as category winners — the  best programs in the States of CA, NV, HI, AZ, NM, and CO and two were finalists in their categories.
Additionally Liz (E.J.) Harrison was honored with the “Brian Wilson Mentorship Award” for her contributions as a teacher and friend to so many Access Sacramento producers and staff.
Here are the WAVE winners:

“Peace Corps 50th Anniversary” by Steven Bourasa – Informational Lifestyle Category

“Livewire – The Diviners & Little Miss Capital City” by Michelle Barbaria & E.J. Harrison – Talk Show Entertainment
“War at Home” by Somer Hoke (PCS Film) – Special Audience Programming

The following two programs were named as finalists, finishing in the top three of their category.

“Three Words for Dacia” by Sean Stueve (PCS film) – Experimental Innovative
“Livewire – Holiday Special with Santa 2010” by Michelle Barbaria & E.J. Harrison – Programming for Youth and Families
