Citizens input needed for Rainbow Park Community Garden

rainbow park

Rainbow Park, Sacramento

An outreach meeting for the new Rainbow Park Community Garden is coming up this Saturday from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Fruitridge Community Center, and organizers are hoping that members of the community will attend and lend their input.  This meeting is also a great chance for people to learn more about community gardens and to talk with the Park District staff and other interested gardeners from the neighborhood.

It is believed that a community garden would be a welcome addition to this urban neighborhood and will provide residents access to fresh and local food by growing their own fruits and vegetables.  The garden would also help to beautify the neighborhood and foster a sense of community ownership and stewardship.

Where: Fruitridge Community Center, 4000 Fruitridge Road Sacramento
When: February 25th 10:00 am- 12:00 pm
For more information please call 916-422-7610 or share the flyer at this link.
