Franklin High School Animation and Video Production Teacher Brad Clark will be presenting the winners including Sara Pogemiller from Franklin High School for her video “Pooch Protection” promoting Bradshaw Animal Shelter.
Also Alondra Santana-Isidro from Sacramento New Tech High School for her PSA “Your Vote” for The League of Women Voters. Her video is presented with both English and Spanish versions.
The 3rd Place winners are J Dirain, Sydney DeHaro and Juliana Elsberry from Center High School for their PSA “Fire Safety Tips” supporting the American Red Cross.
Access Sacramento’s Executive Director Gary Martin will join the show to present the prize winners with cash awards and certificates.

Musical Youth- Part 1
Listen Up! Sacramento has featured many young musicians over the years. These creative and musically talented kids have often been seen performing at the Jammies and Skip’s Stairway to Stardom. Most of them have now grown up and gone off to college or pursued their careers and are now young adults. This episode is a special medley presentation of some of our younger musicians who have appeared over the years including Sage Cummins of Dead Scott, Spencer Hoffman of Honyock, and Zach MacLachlan.

The band includes Poet, Vincent Kobelt and musicians MoFly, Stixx Delight, Brotha Mac, and Russell Brown. They have music and poetry inspired by Mya Angelou, The Mural in Southside Park, and more.

Listen Up! Sacramento is happy to present Amiah. She is a young lady with an amazing voice that may make you think you’re listening to a seasoned performer. At the young age of 9 she began her singing career and now, at age 13 she performs for Listen Up! Sacramento. Her voice is reminiscent of Sinead O’Conner in it’s subtle, yet powerful tones and her style and influence is inspired by Katy Perry and other in popular music. She is famous for using a plastic cup as an instrument and we know you will enjoy her singing.

Listen Up! Sacramento is happy to present “The Hey Nows!”. The group is comprised of a handful of local multi-talented musicians lead by Lee Milhous and Roger Trott. Their style is a bit of southern rock, classic rock, and a bit of alternative rock. They perform a variety of songs including “California” performed by Lee Milhous.
