In case you missed it, watch the replay of Robert Urbino and Joyce Mitchell

Local Documentary TV and Filmmaker Joyce Mitchell and Musician/Songwriter Robert Urbino join Ray to talk about the documentary music video about the Homeless issue one that is in the forefront with what is happening in todays world.

Rob Urbino is best known for his sincere songwriting abilities. He’s been a songwriter all of his adult life and a couple of years ago released an EP entitled Jangle under his professional name – Robert Urban. Most recently, he released a relevant song about Times Like These, addressing the increasing pain and sorrow of homelessness amidst political and social upheaval. Times Like These also is receiving international radio airplay. And with little wonder. It’s a relatable song for all of us experiencing the current political and economic divisiveness found in the midst of a worldwide pandemic.

Passion is what drives Joyce Mitchell. Couple that with more than 40 years of experience in TV and Joyce strives to produce memorable programs that help make this world a better place. She has eight prestigious regional Emmy Awards for her documentary work and twenty-five nominations. Ten years later, Joyce ventured into long-format TV as senior producer at Sacramento PBS Station KVIE. She is now an independent documentary TV producer.  Projects include:

College: Making It Happen hosted by Edward James Olmos
Power of Education hosted by Fresh Prince of Bel Air Star Alfonso Ribeiro
A Choice to Heal – Mental Health in California hosted by Mariel Hemingway
Dave Brubeck: A Castle’s Song (Emmy nominated)
AIDS in the 21st Century (Emmy nominated)
Collision Course – Teen Opiod Drug Addiction (2012 Emmy)
