AccessLocal TV Youth Correspondents

Maria Hernandez Youth Media Manager of AccessLocal TV youth correspondence joins host Ray Tatar this Wednesday.  Maria Hernandez will be joined by the youth correspondents from AccessLocal TV to talk about their projects and what they are doing as local neighborhood news correspondents.  AccessLocal.TV is a news blog website operated by Access Sacramento and funded primarily by a grant from The California Endowment. important to Sacramento County is presented. In partnership with Access Sacramento’s, AccessLocal.TV, Tower of Youth employs and trains Neighborhood News Correspondents (NNC’s) from Sacramento County, ages 15-24, as community news reporters expounding on health and wellness stories.  They produce and share digital content to keep communities informed about health and wellness issues at local, regional, statewide and national level supporting youth advocacy and engagement, elevating community voices, and connecting marginalized underserved populations.

They also create and produce a bi-weekly Transformative Podcast series that features interviews of community movement  leaders, artists, organizers, and organizations that amplifies health and wellness stories and practices for transformative narrative change and culture shift.
