Cosumnes Oaks #7 QB Anthony Grigsby Jr

The Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack set up a shot at a Delta League championship while dashing the league title hopes for Elk Grove, defeating the Thundering Herd 23-12 on Access Sacramento‘s Hometown Sports Game of the Week.

The Wolfpack victory on the road sets up next Friday’s home game showdown with the Davis Blue Devils, both of whom are 4-1 in League. The winner will be 5-1 and will take the Delta League championship since Elk Grove has now completed its league season with a 4-2 record and plays a non-league game vs. Oak Ridge next week.

Elk Grove opened up a 12-0 lead early in the 3rd quarter including a field goal and a safety, bur Cosumnes Oaks gained momentum and roared back with three TD’s an interception and a safety to claim victory.
