A Place Called Sacramento

A Place Called Sacramento Film Festival (PCS) is now in its 20th year. This year is a three day celebration starting October 3rd to the red carpet premiere on October 5th. Livewire welcomes “A Place Called Sacramento” films “By Any Other Name”, written by Leonard Feldman and “Passages” written by Vert Wright and David H Perez, Jr. These films will be shown at the red carpet World Premiere on Saturday, October 5th.

Effie Yeaw Nature Center

The American River Natural History Association (ARNHA) and the Effie Yeaw Nature Center mission statement is “Dedicated to providing educational and interpretive programs and information about the natural environment, principally in the American River Parkway.” They achieve this mission by providing education opportunities, programs, and provide nature conservation. Their largest event for families, Naturefest, is happening September 22nd. This event includes activities for kids, live animals, demos, hikes, food and more.
