If its big-time high school football you’re seeking to enhance your TV sports programming options, look no further than Access Sacramento‘s Hometown Sports Game of the Week to see Friday’s highly anticipated match-up in Folsom, where the #1 top-ranked Bulldogs play host to the #4-ranked Jesuit Marauders.

Coverage of this clash begins at 7:00 pm and may be seen on Comcast Cable channel 17, Consolidated Communications channel 17, and AT&T U-Verse channel 14.  The game will also be streamed live from Access Sacramento.org and on the NFHS Network.

It’s the season opener for Jesuit, having received a bye last week while most teams were in action.  However, Head Coach Marlon Blanton and the Marauders are ready to begin the 2018 campaign in daunting fashion with the toughest opponent on their schedule, with what Blanton considers the best team he’s led since taking the helm at Jesuit in 2012.

Blanton is abundantly optimistic, and with good reason.  QB  Hank Harvego will call the signals for a highly potent offense led by heavily recruited RB Isaiah Rutherford (1,468 yds./17 TD in 2017), versatile RB/LB Jackson Canaan, and TE Connor McIntee.

Sparking the Marauder’s rampaging defense are LBs Laiatu Latu and Cade Brownholtz, and CB Rutherford.

Folsom has re-grouped following a 14-0 loss to nationally-ranked powerhouse De La Salle last Friday; a game which saw the Bulldogs shutout for the first time since 2004 in a fierce defensive battle that squeezed all the scoring into the second half.

Eager to re-ignite a powerful offense, Folsom will showcase dynamic double-threat QB Kaiden Bennett, RB Daniyel Ngata, and highly regarded WRs Joe Ngata and Elijhah Badger.

Leading the defensive unit are linemen Caleb Freeland and Tyler Hardeman, LBs Dylan Jorge, Noah Jenkins, and Elijah Swonger, and DB C.J. Hutton.
