Using homecoming energy, the Del Campo Cougars defeated the Antelope Titans 33-10 to remain the only undefeated team in the Capital Valley Conference at 8-0, while the Titans drop to 7-1 during Access Sacramento’s Hometown Sports Game of the Week.

Cougar quarterback Tyler Dimino’s offense racked up 329 yards in total offense while being on the field for just 18 minutes of the game against the Titan’s 158 yards in 30-minutes. Dimino passed for one TD and ran for another.  Running back Greg Cabral had TD runs of 31 and 4 yards, with Levi Markey dashing for a 4-yard score.

Antelope quarterback Nick Lucero was 9 of 19 passing for 106 yards, but the Cougar defense also grabbed two interceptions, one on a halfback option pass by Alejandro Torres, and held the Titans’ three stellar running backs to short yardage all night. The Titans ran the ball 40 times for a net of just 52 yards where the longest single run was just 17 yards by Keith Brown.
