Big Scoring plays and lots of offense highlight the Cordova Lancers 69-36 victory over the Foothill Mustangs in Access Sacramento’s Hometown Sports Game of the Week.

Cordova Wide Receiver Alvin Banks

The one-two punch of Cordova quarterback Johnele Sanders and wide receiver Alvin Banks created an unstoppable combination. Sanders carried the ball 20 times for 126 yards and five touchdowns, completing nine of 16 passes for 207 yards. Six of those completions went to Alvin Banks who accounted for 179 of those yards, adding three touchdowns including a 60-yard TD scamper midway through the fourth quarter.

Foothill Quaterback Carlos Merced

Foothill’s quarterback Carlos Merced completed 20 of 32 passes for 387 yards and rushed 8 tines for 41 yards in piling on his own impressive offense. Top Receivers were Traivion Drummer with 10 catches for 230 yards and three touchdowns and Isaiah Churchhill with five receptions for exactly 100 yards and two touchdowns.
