Filmmaker Larry Menard visits the studio talking about his film “Regrets” that premiers this Saturday at the A Place Called Sacramento film festival and while the Firefighter Burn Institute comes to share about their upcoming Three Alarm Chili Cook Off: Oktoberfest.

The short film “regretsRegrets” follows a Folsom Prison parolee and his decision that could enter him back into a life of crime or decide if his regrets are enough to keep him from that life.  A Place Called Sacramento film festival takes place this Saturday, October 8th where the short film “Regrets” and nine other selected film projects, will be shown at the Crest Theatre.

The Firefighters Burn institute is a nonprofit in the Sacramento Area that provides local burn recovery facility, treatment programs, and fire and burn prevention. Their Chili Cook Off takes place on Friday October 7th. This family event features chili tasting, music and more! Locals will be competing in a chili tasting contest for an event you don’t want to miss.
