Overcoming seven turnovers and taking the final lead in the last 1:49, the Roseville Tigers  held on to defeat the Del Campo Cougars 28-24 in a stunning see-saw battle last Friday (Sept. 23, 2016)  on Access Sacramento‘s Game of the Week.

A 22-yard pass from Nick Martig to Dominick Rucker capped the Roseville scoring, capping an 11-play 60 yard drive.

Martig threw three interceptions and the Del Campo defense recovered four fumbles, but it was Roseville’s defense that capitalized on Del Campo’s lone fumble with a 45-yard TD return by Jeriah Crawley just 21-seconds into the 2nd half.

Top rusher in the game was Del Campo’s work horse Greg Cabral on 35 carries for 185-yards and a 3-yard TD run that started all scoring midway into the 1st quarter.

Roseville presented a balanced offense with the rushing duo of Jay Razzano (18 for 93 yards) and Brendan McMinn (14 for 56 yards) combining with Martig’s passing attack with 13 of 21 completions for 219 yards.

Del Campo quarterback Tyler Dimino threw a 43 yard bomb to Ignacio Salcedo shortly into the 4th quarter to take the lead for most of the period. Other Cougar scoring came on a 3-yard run from David Joseph and a 32-yard Field Goal from Bryce Allred.
