Monterey Trail’s victory means Jesuit is now 3-3 in league and effectively out of the playoff picture tied with Franklin also at 3-3 after its loss to undefeated Elk Grove at 6-0. Grant is 5-1 in 2nd place, and Pleasant Grove is 4-2 in third place.

Jesuit’s only score came in just barely into the 2nd quarter when Marauders capped a 10 play 45 yard drive with a Luke Thayer field goal that brought the game to Monterey Trail 7, Jesuit 3, but that was as close at the Marauders would get.
Jesuit running back Beau Bisharat, returning to full action after two weeks nursing an injured ankle, rushed for 44 yards on eight carries, and caught 3 passes for 41 yards.
