The Antelope Titans remain undefeated slipping past the Del Campo Cougars 27-20 to take sole possession of first-place in the Capital Valley Conference during a thrilling Game of the Week from Access Sacramento.

Antelope quarterback Aaron Montel was named Access Sacramento’s Player of the Game completing 15 of 20 passes for 265 yards, marshaling the Titan’s TD drives with nearly 80-yards each capping one with a 13-yard TD run of his own.

Del Campo’s star running back, Javone Jackson, just back from three-weeks off for an injury, was named the Cougar’s Player of the Game picking up 196 yards rushing on 25 carries and scoring two of  Del Campo’s three TDs on runs of 1 and 19 yards.

Antelope jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first half capped by a 72-yard interception return by Jaevin Braund, but Del Campo controlled the second half tieing the game on a 23-yard Ben Purcell pass to Ray Griffen.

Antelope’s trick half-back 16-yard pass from Daevon Johnson to Ryan McCombs with 3:05 left in the game put the Titans on top to stay.

Del Campo’s final drive stalled after moving 52 yards to Antelope’s 25-yard line when a Ben Purcell pass was ruled an interception, scooped up by Antelope’s Khanii Lesane  with just 57-seconds left in the game, allowing Antelope to run out the clock.

Antelope remains undefeated, 8-0 overall, 5-0 in the CVC,  with two weeks left in the regular season. Del Campo is now 6-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play.  Both Antelope and Del Campo face Bella Vista as the season wraps up, while Antelope also faces spoiler Whitney (tied for 2nd place with Del Campo); Del Campo will face winless Oakmont.
