The Grant Pacers’ unrelenting ground attack wore down the Franklin Wildcats 27-0 to open league action and keep Coach Mike Alberghini’s Pacers undefeated at 4-0.

The Pacers lead 6-0 at halftime, but drove down the field repeatedly in the 2nd half, on the strength of 48 plays and 311 yards in total offense.

Grant’s DeShawn Collins was named Game of the Week’s Player of the Game for the Pacers, rushing  20 times for 113 yards and a two-yard TD run that opened the scoring with 6:11 remaining in the 1st quarter.

Franklin’s Lamar Jackson was named Player of the Game for the Wildcats based on both defense and offensive strengths.  Franklin had 152 yards in total offense on 42 plays, but lost momentum with two turnovers, including an interception in the end zone and a fumble.
