Live Wire is coming back to you this week with another great event thrown by the Sol Collective in Sacramento, the Codex making workshop on July 28th. Also coming to Live Wire is info on a locally produced music show called “Alive and Kicking TV,” run by Jim Bailey and Jerry Perry.

 

Established in 2003, Sol Collective is a community based partnership whose unique mission is to use art, education, and technology as a didactic medium to create mobilization and community empowerment.

 

Sol Collective a 3,200 square foot community space located in Sacramento hosting art exhibitions, multimedia workshops, apprentice/mentorship programs, and community forums.

 

In addition, the space is available for local organizations that provide service and advocacy within the fields of social justice and youth development.

Alive & Kicking TV’s goal is to become the premiere video showcase for the vast array of musical talent in the Sacramento music scene. By shooting the show live at Harlow’s, they allow the artists a great opportunity to display the energy and passion of live music in a venue that sounds and looks fantastic for television.

With the broadcasts on Access Sacramento, available on cable in Sacramento County, and worldwide through Access Sacramento’s website and YouTube page, they give their amazing artists a way to reach their fans anywhere in the world.

Tune in to Live Wire! at 5 p.m.  Wednesday, July 15 on Access Sacramento channel 17. You can also watch the simulcast online at the same time it airs at AccessSacramento.org The encore presentation airs Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
