The Law Enforcement ‘Hogs’ rushed for 211 yards in a 28-7 win over the Fire Department ‘Dogs’ in the 40th annual Pig Bowl/Guns ‘n Hoses game at Hornet Stadium.

Lance Martin, the game’s Most Valuable Player, carried 25 times for 89 yards in the Hogs victory.  Jared Thompson added 72 rush yards for the Hogs, who scored in every quarter.

Dogs QB Eric Garside completed 21 of 48 attempts for 210 yards but was held in check most of the day.

The Dogs’ lone score came on an 89-yard kick return touchdown in the 4th quarter.  Fire’s Blake Cervantes  led his team with 56 rush yards along with 37 more receiving.

“I think our depth defensively wore them down a bit ,” said Hogs veteran safety Greg Coauette.  Coauette was named most valuable defensive player.
