Access Sacramento is proud to broadcast the 40th Annual Pig Bowl charity football game live from Sacramento State’s Hornet Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Comcast/SureWest Cable Channel 17 and AT&T Channel 99.
Announcers Will James of Access Sacramento and Doug Kelly of Kelly & Associates, UC Davis football and the Fight Hunger Bowl will call the action from the press box. On the sidelines, field announcer Scott Marsh from CBS Radio-KHTK and the Sacramento Kings will provide in-game and halftime interviews and comments.
The Pig Bowl, renamed Guns ‘n Hoses 12 years ago, is the longest running charity football game featuring law enforcement vs. fire fighters in the nation. The historic game was featured many years ago on ABC’s Wide World of Sports.
The Guns ‘n Hoses football game is just one event as part of a series of year-long fund raising activities to benefit charities and non-profits that provide essential services connected with police and law enforcement.
This is the second year for Access Sacramento to broadcast the game live. The football game has been broadcast by Access Sacramento for 25 years. Access Sacramento Production Director Dev Singh has been in charge of all 25 broadcasts, with Access Sacramento Associate Producer and Pig Bowl Liaison Stan Bollinger handling communication and game logistics.
Access Sacramento is proud to support the 40th Pig Bowl presents the 12th Guns ‘n Hoses charity football event.
