The Sacramento Police Mounted Association (SPMA) is a non profit organization consisting of officers and citizens who have a common goal of supporting the horses of the Sacramento Mounted Unit.  SPMA is also dedicated to helping the community through different outreach events such as this.

Over the past few years SPMA has provided much needed protective equipment for the Police Horses during tight budget times.  SPMA purchased and donated face shields, protective boots, saddle pads, saddle blankets, tack and even purchased a horse, “Levi” who actively patrols the streets of Sacramento.  The current saddles don’t fit the horses properly and have been in use since 1998.  Elk Grove Dodge, and General Manager Vince Bloom have already sponsored a number of saddles but we are far from our goal.

La Raza Galería Posada (LRGP) is a 41 year old multi-disciplinary cultural center and public space serving the Sacramento Community by offering Latino/Chicano and Native arts programming, art education workshops, and a community gathering place. LRGP is a center of cultural pride, self-governance, self-expression and community empowerment through the arts. We remain a public space where young and old come to pass on their stories, share their challenges, create art and build community.
