Two Elk Grove premiere football schools battle for parkway pride and bragging rights, playing on the home field they share: visiting Franklin taking on Cosumnes Oaks.

While the game was relatively even through the first half, Franklin came back from halftime ready to score.  Overall, Franklin racked up 302 yards in total offense on 69 plays, while Cosumnes Oaks earned 175 yards on 52 plays.

Franklin quarterback Lamar Jackson passed for two touchdowns and ran for another in personally running up some impressive statistics. The 6-2, 185 lb sophomore through a 15 yard pas to Donovan Vernon in the first quarter, then hit Jabari Jackson for a nine yard TD pass in the third quarter.

Cosumnes Oaks wide receiver Alex Van Dyke, 6-4, 230 lb, senior, was the top pass receiver again vs. Franklin with his top distance hitting just 25 yards.  Wolfpack quarterback Jaavon Stallworth was nine of 25 passing, with 90 yards and one 42 yard pass to L.J. Reed for Cosumnes Oaks only score of the night.

Franklin’s Patrick Walker was a perfect four-for-four on Point-After-Touchdown kicks with one in the first quarter, two in the third and one more in the fourth.
