This week LiveWire welcomes guests from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Greater Sacramento (LLS). The local Executive Director, Robert Ojeda along with their 2012 “Man of the Year” Delbert Stapp. They be talking about their organization and their local events. They will also be accompanied by L&L survivor and the LLS Campaign Management Team, Gloria Torres, who will be sharing her personal story of survival and recovery.

We will also be joined by Margie Park-Landau, Co-Founder and Volunteer Coordinator for The Sacramento Jewish Film Festival. Margie and Co-Founder, Sid Heberger of The Historic Crest Theatre established the film festival in 1997 as way for Sacramentan’s to enjoy Jewish Films locally in a our own beautiful theatre. The film festival takes place on March 10th and 11th at The Crest Theatre in Downtown Sacramento. She will share details about the event and talk about the films. Saturday’s films include “Holy Land Hardball”, a real life look at baseball in Israel and “This is Sodom” a funny and slightly naughty tale. Sunday’s features include “Ahead of Time: The Ruth Gruber Story” about the inspirational photo-journalist and “Inside Hana’s Suitcase”, a true and deeply touching story.
