Ubuntu Green and the Coalition on Regional Equity (CORE)/Sacramento Housing Alliance (SHA) will be hosting a forum to discuss the rehabilitation of Brownfield sites and vacant lots throughout Sacramento. We will convene a group of experts and stakeholders from a wide range of the community, including local elected officials, academics, environmentalists, planners, social justice advocates, residents and more.

The purpose of this convening is to develop a strong foundation of information regarding known problem areas, historical attempts to address the issue, and ideas for solutions. We would like the meeting to include advocates and community members who have been impacted by and have worked to address this problem.

The dialogue will take place on Wednesday, February 22, from 12:30 pm to 4 pm at the Sacramento Food Bank & Community Services Community Room, 3333 3rd Avenue.

You can register for the event by clicking here.  If you have any questions or would like more information about the dialogue, please contact Rangineh Azimzadeh at rangineh@ubuntugreen.org or Tyrone Buckely at tyrone@sachousingalliance.org.
